I was planning to get one from Walmart, there is a Schwinn I like from there its silver it seems like a very nice sturdy bike. ive always heard good things about Schwinn bikes. When I went to walmart to ask them for advice, they couldnt really tell me much. they told me that the roadmasters were very popular (they are pretty cheap too, so i dunno if people are buying them up for that reason?) They also told me they had a Jeep sport bike that was reduced in price that was very sturdy and would take a lot of abuse and not get scratched up or messed up. My boyfriend told me that Schwinns are the best.

There is a bike at Walmart I saw that was pretty cool that had a motor on it, but I cant buy that one right now b/c apparently the battery is not included or something like that. I plan to ride on the road, not like on land or grass or anything, on the sidewalks and roads and at the park. I want a 10 or 15 speed and something thats a very smooth, fairly fast ride. I dont have a whole lot of money to drop on this (well not this second anyhow. i could however save up for a nicer one if you know of one.) The Schwinn bike at Walmart is about $170, and then the helmet would run about 22, and then a bike cover would be 10 bucks,and a bike lock (what is the best brand? from what ive heard a sturdy thick metal one would be good, like a U Shaped one.

I dont want a flimsy little bike that wont really ride that great w/in a few months. I am willing to spend the extra money to get one that lasts. I am aware a great bike requires maintanance, checking tire gauges and stuff like that. what other maintanance is required? what bike do you recommend i buy? what lock do you suggest? any other accessories do you suggest? i did see other stuff at walmart like little rearview mirrors, a bell, a kickstand (i thought that came w/the bike?) lights to attach to the bike to ride at nite, stuff like that. any advice is appreciated.
