Kryptonites are the absolute bestest lock ever but you can find VERY similar locks that will be almost as disheartening to would-be thieves as a brand-name Kryptonite U-Lock. Ask at a cycling store! I see people use the type pictured only on bikes that are crappy to begin with or just to make stealing the wheels harder. I don't spiff my bike up with fancy stuff and I use a sturdy lock, so I get passed over... so far. Cable locks bad! OMG dude, no!
