I used a kryptonite lock, (the really strong ones), and it somehow does not open now. the problem is that it is still attatched to my bike, and i want to get my bike out before it snows, so it doesn't rust. any suggestions on how to seperate my bike from the bike lock, or bike rack it's attatched to?

I have a TopLock brand, U-shaped bike lock but I've gone and lost the keys for it. I've had it for several years so I don't remember where I bought it, and searching the internet hasn't yielded any answers. Would a locksmith be able to make me a new key, or am I better off just buying a new lock? It just seems like such a waste if all I need are the keys.
